WHAT TO EXPECT
The 90-minute Sampler includes the following instruction, practice, and simulated game play:
- ​Stretching and warm-up
- Moving safely and confidently on the ice
- Delivering a curling stone
- Applying a "handle" to make the stone curl (it's called curling for a reason!)
- Game play basics
- Cool-down
- Broomstacking (post-game socializing)
WHAT TO WEAR
All necessary gear will be provided. All you need is warm, loose fitting clothing and clean, flat, rubber soled shoes (trainers are ideal) to change into for curling. Do not wear the shoes that you plan to use into the club; change into them when you arrive so they remain as clean as possible. It's best to dress in layers so you can shed some clothes as you warm up on the ice. For those with mobility issues, delivery sticks allow stones to be delivered from a standing position.
