Club Participation
ACC Club Participation Policy
The Ardsley Curling Club is a non-profit organization that relies on the support of all of its members. Much work is involved in the successful operation of the club, and this work is almost all done by members volunteering their time.
-
Effective September 1, 2021, all ACC members 21 and over would be required, as a part of their registered membership, to participate in a minimum of 10 hours of volunteer work per curling season.
-
Volunteer activities include, but are not limited to:
- Chairing/Helping at a Bonspiel
- Set-up Day/Clean-Up Day
- Running a league
- Chairing a Club Committee
- Club Maintenance
- Serving on the Board of Directors
- Helping at an Open House/Learn-to-Curl/Corporate or Private Event -
Members would have a year to complete their 10 hours of volunteer service (September-August)
-
If a member so chooses, the participation requirement could be ”bought-out” by making a $100 donation to the club.
-
Members should use the Google Form, available on the ACC website, to submit and track their hours. (https://forms.gle/eWVBNG15qjTmRHbW9)
