In the interest of maintaining time schedules, when a team has run out of rocks (as to score) the game must be terminated.

(Exceptions to this age limit may be agreed upon by the McKay Douglas Bonspiel Committee). A team cannot commence a game with less than three (3) players. A team cannot continue play during a game with less than three (3) players.

Late starting – if a team is not ready to start play at the time designated for a match, one (1) end shall be counted for each ten (10) minutes delay and one (1) point for each of these ends shall be given to the team present and ready to play. The non-offending team shall also have last rock advantage on the first end of play. If the waiting exceeds thirty-five (35) minutes the winner of the game is the non-offending team by default.

Substitutions and Spares are governed by the Spare/Substitute Rules.

Leads will toss a coin for the hammer. Vices will perform all measures and agree on the score for each end. No players other than the Vices are permitted in the house during any measurement.

At the Ardsley Curling Club

. . . you'll find a warm atmosphere (yes, despite the ice), ideal for establishing and nurturing friendships. Here you'll play a great game in men's, women's, seniors and mixed league competition (Oct. - March). Instructional programs help you get started, and support from your teammates and 'skip' (captain) assures your progress. And there's a kid's program too. And you'll enjoy sitting in front of the clubhouse's giant fireplace with teammates and opponents after games with some refreshments, talking over the game's highpoints.
